On the side of its educational and communication services, since the 1980s La Collina runs bars and restaurants in the former asylum, and in other places of the city. These venues have been the first place to affirm a new role of the Park in the cultural life of the city, through events and festivals. These social entrepreneurial efforts have also permitted La Collina’s to promote its vision on social cooperation as well as to support open opportunities for vulnerable people in the labour market.
The workshop addresses the everyday challenges of an enterprise of a social inclusion, first looking at the management of the restaurant Il Posto delle Fragole and, second, at the organisation of the Lunatico Festival, one of the most prominent (and free) summer cultural festivals of the city.
